Multidisciplinary Theatre
Erratum
Hošek Contemporary (Berlin) – October 2024
(Tuning in to) FAGGOT*S” a stage adaptation of the 1977 book “The Fagg0ts and Their Friends Between Revolutions” by Larry Mitchell and Ned Asta, will be presented by Erratum on October 17 and 18 at Hosek Contemporary
The performance explores the ramifications of cyborg faggotries in the era of artificial intelligence. This solo act, performed by the drag artist Hassandra, exists outside of time, somewhere between the vibrant New York of the Stonewall riots and the dark depths of Berlin’s darkrooms. It is a multifaceted and unsettling expression, contradictory and intertwined, that echoes like an earworm.
The co-creators of the piece, Hadrien Daigneault-Roy and Sascha Cowan, collaborated with composer Luke Nickel to intertwine sound art with drag performance, creating an unconventional and unique form of performative art.
This performance is the result of an initial creative cycle and will lead to the presentation of the show FAGGOT*S in 2025 at Berliner Ringtheater.
