Wide Open Berlin is a collective formed by Hadrien Daigneault-Roy, Sascha Cowan, and Wren Galbraith. Born in Montreal (Canada) in 2019 and relaunched in Berlin in 2022, Wide Open is a platform dedicated to events, curation, and the promotion of queer nightlife arts such as performance art, drag, burlesque, and immersive installations. We believe nightlife arts are more than simple entertainment: they are a catalyst for community, a space of resistance, a laboratory for experimentation, and a vital voice for often marginalized social groups.
Since our founding, we have presented more than twenty events blending experimental performance, dancefloor, talks, and cinema, most recently at the New Fears gallery in Kreuzberg. We have also curated performance programs for many iconic events in the underground scene, such as Whole Festival, Lecken, Buttons, and Queer Pool (Hamburg).
